Our mission is to create social change by alleviating the suffering of men, women, and children living in poverty. 

 

We will accomplish this mission by:

¨ Supporting community development projects that focus attention on low income families

¨ Giving aid to victims of natural disasters

¨ Donating to organizations with similar missions

¨ Educating children and adolescents regarding the reality of global poverty in the United States and around the world

 

PUSH 4 Change was named after the book, Push by Sapphire. It is the story of an impoverished teenage girl who overcomes traumatizing life events to find happiness and purpose in her life.  This book has provided inspiration to the founders of PUSH 4 Change and we dedicate our work to the Precious Jones’ of the world; people who triumph against overwhelming obstacles with a little assistance from others.  We encourage you to read this book to understand some of the pervasive dilemmas that individuals face in our country and around the world.

 

PUSH 4 Change is a non-profit organization that is based in North Alabama.  The organization is applying for exemption from federal income taxes under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
